Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 3, 2026 · 4WRD Advisory Inc. · Ontario, Canada

In this Privacy Policy, “4WRD Labs” refers to the diagnostic platform and product operated by 4WRD Advisory Inc. References to “4WRD Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our” mean 4WRD Advisory Inc.

1. Who We Are

4WRD Advisory Inc. (“4WRD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the diagnostic platform available at 4wrdlabs.ai. We are incorporated in Ontario, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our platform.

For privacy inquiries, contact us at: info@4wrd.ca

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly: When you use the diagnostic platform, you provide information about your company including company name, website, industry, funding stage, GTM motion, average contract value, and qualitative answers to diagnostic questions. You may also provide free-form notes describing your business context.

Payment information: When you purchase a diagnostic, payment is processed by Stripe Inc. We do not store your credit card number or payment details. Stripe’s privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.

Account information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials, managed through Clerk Inc.

Usage data: We may collect information about how you interact with the platform, including pages visited and features used, through Google Analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Generate your diagnostic results and AI-powered narrative output
  • Process payments and send transaction confirmations
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
  • Improve the diagnostic platform and scoring methodology
  • Communicate with you about your diagnostic results or account

Your diagnostic inputs are sent to OpenAI’s API to generate narrative analysis. OpenAI processes this data in accordance with their privacy policy and API data usage policies. We do not use your data to train AI models.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Diagnostic inputs, generated results, and related account activity (including re-assessment history and scheduling) are stored securely on our servers for as long as your account remains active, so that you can access past results, track progress over time, and receive re-assessment eligibility notifications. We retain this information only as long as necessary for these purposes, consistent with our obligations under PIPEDA, and will delete it upon request or account closure except where retention is required by law.

If you access the platform through a venture capital or private equity fund’s portfolio program, your diagnostic results and re-assessment status are visible to authorized administrators of that fund, for the purpose of portfolio-level reporting. They are not visible to other portfolio companies.

Payment records are retained by Stripe in accordance with their data retention policies and applicable financial regulations.

5. Aggregate Benchmark Data Use

We use de-identified, aggregated diagnostic data across customers to generate peer benchmark comparisons (for example, showing how a company’s score compares to a peer median) that appear in diagnostic reports. This aggregated data is always anonymized — a specific company’s individual results are never shared with or made visible to another company. Contributing to these anonymized benchmarks is a standard part of the service and does not require separate opt-in or opt-out.

6. Disclosure of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers: OpenAI (AI generation), Stripe (payments), Clerk (authentication), Resend (transactional email), Vercel (hosting), Google Analytics (usage analytics)
  • Legal requirements: Where required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process in Ontario or Canada
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice provided to affected users

7. Your Rights Under PIPEDA and Ontario Law

As a user in Canada, you have rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario privacy law, including:

  • The right to access personal information we hold about you
  • The right to request correction of inaccurate information
  • The right to withdraw consent to collection or use, subject to legal or contractual restrictions
  • The right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@4wrd.ca. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication and analytics. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data. You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Third-Party Links

The platform may contain links to third-party websites, including 4wrd.ca. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
